Where does time go, I don't know about you but 2016 seemed like a blink and now we are into 2017. I love this time of year, its a busy time with bookings for Weddings. There is always a great buzz around and its lovely meeting up with lots of couples. As photographers though, we have to acknowledge, at this time, it can be a bit daunting for couples who are faced with lots of choices and sometimes its far from easy to make a final decision.
As photographers, we should not make it any more dificult for them. With the wealth of experience and expertise we have, we should make it easy for couples and help them as much as we can. After all, this is one of the biggest occasions in their lives.
For me, I always encourage couples to meet up with me at the studio, have a chat and look at what I do. The couples get to see my wedding photography style immediately and benefit from talking through some of their own ideas and what is important to them. Experience, tells me, that this is the best approach and is common sense for both the couple and the photographer rather than just sending an email with a price list or brochure. Atleast the couple can go away with all the information and are better equiped to make the right decision.
